Service Technician
Udor USA is a Diaphragm and Plunger pump manufacturing company. We are looking for a mechanically inclined repair technician. The repair technician’s role focuses on assessing the problem or damage then implementing solutions to repair it. Although the extent of a technician’s tasks will depend on the device or equipment, most of it revolves around troubleshooting, providing technical support, understanding fluids such as water, thoroughly discussing problems and solutions to clients. Furthermore, there are instances when a repair technician must work in a team setting that requires coordination and communication. Resolving issues from the manufacture to the way the product was installed by our customer and sometimes work with end-users on behalf of our customers.
Service Technician Job Description
We are looking for a service technician that has mechanical skills and a basic understanding of fluid dynamics and how pumps work in general terms. We will be doing on-the-job training specific to our products and industry. The person will have the ability to work independently and be a skilled service technician to run our service department, track RMAs, and repair equipment and pumps. The service technician’s responsibilities include communicating with our staff and our customers, Creating RMAs, performing repairs and routine maintenance. The service technician will help provide customers with guidance or instructions on how to do repairs to our products.
To be successful as a service technician, you should have excellent technical and mechanical skills. Excellent communications skills. You should have experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools. You should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment of at least 70 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing Udor’s pumps and accessories that are sold by us
- Diagnosing, installing, and testing products, equipment, and machinery and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product
- Using diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluating the available information
- Fixing defective or broken products or ordering the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts
- Answering telephone inquiries and assisting our staff and our clients
- Possibly invoicing the customer for the repairs that have been completed and taking payment information
- Promoting the company’s services
- Maintaining your technical and mechanical skills
Qualifications:
- Strong Mechanical background
- Trade school training or Equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and emailing
- Understand importance of documentation and flow of processes
- Willingness to develop and or improve processes
Schedule
- Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch
- 9 days of Holiday pay
